The human awareness Institute (HAI) was established in 1968 by Dr. Stan Dale. He created the workshop series called “love, intimacy and sexuality” in order to help people enjoy and maintain successful, loving relationships based on honesty and integrity. Stan Dale was one of ten people in the world to have been awarded the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Medallion for his selfless commitment to world peace, humanity and brotherhood. The Ethical Humanists of Chicago also awarded him the “Humanist of the Year” award. Dr. Dale passed away in 2007, but his work continues to be taught throughout the world – mostly by volunteers who facilitate these workshops with all their heart for the benefit of others.
HAI Global is now a non-profit association that offers these workshops in the US, Canada, Australia, Europe and Japan, where over 75,000 people world-wide have experienced these transformational workshops. HAI Global ‘s website (in English) is www.hai.org.
HAI’s mission statement:
The Human Awareness Institute (HAI) empowers individuals to be potent, loving, contributing human beings. HAI promotes personal growth and social evolution by replacing ignorance and fear with awareness and love.
HAI aims to create a world where people live together in dignity, respect, understanding, trust, kindness, compassion, reverence, honesty and love.
The Human Awareness Institute is committed to creating a world where everyone wins.
In May 2004, a HAI workshop from California/USA was offered for the first time in Germany. This first workshop was such a great success and had such a large positive response that it led to the founding of the German non-profit association “Hand on Heart e.V. – Association for the Promotion of Workshops for Love and Tolerance”, which now permanently offers HAI workshops in Germany. The website of Hand on Heart e.V. is www.liebstduschon.de.
